Chemistry Teams Up With H&R Block To Make Taxes Less Taxing

As a digital creative partner with H&R Block since 2011, Chemistry has played a key role in supporting their national advertising by developing email campaigns, microsites, online videos, and more.


H&R Block kicked off the 2014 tax season with a national advertising campaign, “Get Your Billions Back, America” to highlight the problems that can occur when people do their own taxes – which ultimately equates to a billion dollars of missed refunds. Chemistry created the online home for the campaign, which told the full story of how much money consumers were leaving on the table, while also driving visitors to make a tax appointment.


For the most recent tax season, Chemistry launched an entire redesign of the H&R Block website. Easier to navigate than ever before, the new site also featured videos written and produced by Chemistry that introduced IBM’s “Watson” ­ ­– the leader in cognitive computing – to reinvent how people do their taxes. “The largest change in our business since moving from pen and paper to computers,” said Kathy Collins, CMO for H&R Block.
