Chemistry Honored as a Top 20 Independent Agency by One Show

ATLANTA, GA, February 14, 2022 – Independent, full-service agency Chemistry has been named a Top 20 independent agency at The One Show, one of the world’s most prestigious award shows in advertising, design, and digital marketing. This acknowledgment solidifies the agency as one of the top independent shops in marketing and advertising in the United States.

For over 40 years, the One Show Gold Pencil has been regarded as one of the top prizes in the creative industry. The award show has had a rich legacy of honoring some of the most groundbreaking ideas, created by some of the most remarkable minds in creativity.

Ranked at #17 in the United States, Chemistry is in good company alongside industry colleagues Wieden + Kennedy New York, CALLEN, Mischief @ No Fixed Address, and Goodby Silverstein & Partners.

In addition to making the Top 20 list, Chemistry won two Bronze Pencils for their work on the Big Facts, Small Acts (BFSA) “Cover Our Community” campaign.

Outside of award-winning pro-bono work with BFSA and impressive client work with brands including Netflix, Atlanta United, NFL, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, and PetSafe, Chemistry set a goal of hiring 62% people of color by 2026 and it’s already 33% of the way there. The agency also paid its staffers to take Yale University’s “Happiness Course,” and spent 22% of its time on social good, matching employee donations along the way. In addition, Chemistry donated new business pitch fees to COVID-19 causes. On top of that and with everything the past two years brought our way, Chemistry still landed ahead with a 72% pitch-to-win ratio.

“As we continue to grow, it’s important that we continue to experiment with purpose, impacting real change for our clients, our industry, and the culture,” said Tim Smith, President of Chemistry. “We’re especially honored to be acknowledged as a top 20 independent agency alongside other agencies that we respect and admire.”
The past year was also one of robust growth of the agency, including new offices in New York City focused on multicultural marketing, and expanding their reach by opening Chemistry Cultura in Miami, a new division focused on US Latino Marketing.
